Anosike Says PDP Is Set for 2027, Confident of Returning to Abia Government House

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 election in Abia State, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, has declared that the party has regained its strength and is fully prepared to reclaim power in the state at the next general election.

Anosike made the remarks while speaking to journalists shortly after receiving a rousing welcome from party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters upon his arrival at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport in Owerri, Imo State.

According to him, the large number of party faithful who turned out to receive him reflects renewed confidence in the PDP and growing support for its political vision across Abia State.

He said the party has become stronger, more united, and better positioned to provide leadership, adding that the enthusiasm shown by supporters marks the beginning of a new chapter for the PDP.

“The crowd you are seeing here is a loud testimony to our collective determination to take over the government of Abia State. It is the same PDP, but with renewed energy, higher standards and a fresh direction,” Anosike said.

He thanked God for what he described as a successful political journey so far and commended the national leadership of the party for its efforts to reposition the PDP ahead of future elections.

Anosike also acknowledged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, and the party’s National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, for their contributions to strengthening the party’s structures in Abia State.

Expressing confidence in the party’s prospects, he said the PDP remains united and focused on winning the 2027 governorship election, adding that the people of Abia would once again identify with the party.

Describing his arrival as a symbolic homecoming following his emergence as the PDP governorship candidate, Anosike appreciated party leaders, delegates, members of the State Working Committee, and supporters across the state for their continued trust and support.

He assured party members that he would work closely with all stakeholders to build a strong and united platform capable of securing electoral victory for the PDP in Abia State.
