Ex-IG Okiro Visits CityBoy Movement Office in Abia, Commends Seyi Tinubu's Initiative
Former Inspector-General of Police, Mike Okiro, has paid a visit to the Abia State headquarters of the CityBoy Movement, where he officially hosted the movement's flag and applauded its patron, Seyi Tinubu, for establishing the platform.
Okiro, who was welcomed on Friday by the Abia State Director of the CityBoy Movement, Lucky Igbokwe, described the initiative as an important platform for promoting grassroots mobilisation and encouraging greater political participation.
He also reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu, urging members and supporters of the movement to remain focused on advancing the President's political agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
"I urge members of this movement to remain united, work together, and exercise their democratic rights in supporting President Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027," Okiro said.
In his remarks, Igbokwe commended Seyi Tinubu for the vision behind the CityBoy Movement and appreciated Okiro for officially hosting the movement's flag during the visit.
He also acknowledged the leadership of the Director-General of the CityBoy Movement, Francis Shoga, alongside members of the National Executive and National Working Committee, praising their commitment to expanding and strengthening the organisation across the country.
According to Igbokwe, the occasion marks another milestone for the Abia chapter, reflecting the growing commitment of members to grassroots mobilisation.
"This is a significant moment for the Abia State Chapter of the CityBoy Movement. The steady growth of the movement is a testament to the dedication of our leadership and members to building a strong grassroots structure," he said.
He reaffirmed the chapter's commitment to the movement's objectives and expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu would secure a second term in the 2027 general elections.
Igbokwe further urged members and supporters across Abia State to remain united, organised, and committed as the movement continues to expand its grassroots presence and mobilisation efforts ahead of the polls.
