The Chairman of Abia Warriors Football Club, John Obuh, has revealed the club’s long-term vision and future direction, emphasizing its ambition to compete consistently at the highest level of Nigerian football, according to DAILY POST.
Obuh stated that the club is focused on building a world-class football institution driven by excellence both on and off the pitch.
He explained that Abia Warriors’ development philosophy is anchored on discipline, integrity, innovation, and a strong winning mentality.
“Our Vision. Our Pride. The Future of Nigerian Football,” Obuh said in a message released after the conclusion of the 2025/26 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
“We are committed to excellence on and off the pitch through discipline, integrity, innovation, and a strong winning culture. To compete, develop, and inspire through football excellence,” he added.
The chairman’s remarks come as the Umuahia-based club continues its efforts to return to continental football. Abia Warriors previously featured in the CAF Confederation Cup two seasons ago but narrowly missed out on qualification for continental competition in the most recent campaign.
The club is now looking to rebuild and strengthen its squad and structure in a bid to challenge more consistently for honours in the NPFL and secure future continental tickets.
