Kun Khalifat FC technical adviser, Obinna Uzoho, says his team has moved on from their opening-day goalless draw against Abia Warriors and is now fully focused on their next league fixture against Barau FC.

The Matchday One encounter against Abia Warriors in Aba was halted in the 73rd minute after a heavy downpour left the pitch unplayable.

The match resumed on Monday, with Kun Khalifat holding their hosts to a goalless draw.

The Owerri-based club will now face Barau FC in a Matchday Two fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

The encounter will take place at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

Uzoho said the team's ambition this season is to finish higher on the NPFL table than they did last term.

“It’s about remaining calm, playing our game and trying to ensure that we finish higher on the final league table than we did last season,” Uzoho told Complete Sports.

“We take the games one after the other. We’ve put the match against Abia Warriors behind us.

“For us, we’re now focusing on the next game, which is against Barau FC at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.”
