Victor Osimhen was the star of the show as Galatasaray sealed their fourth consecutive Turkish Super Lig title with a dramatic 4-2 comeback win over Antalyaspor on Saturday.
The Nigerian forward scored twice, including a late winner, to help the Istanbul giants secure their 26th league championship ahead of rivals Fenerbahçe.
Galatasaray found themselves under pressure before mounting a strong response led by Mario Lemina, who sparked the comeback. Osimhen then drew the hosts level before striking again in the closing moments to put the game beyond reach.
Kaan Ayhan added a fourth goal deep into stoppage time to complete the celebrations in front of jubilant home supporters.
Osimhen first converted confidently from the penalty spot to make it 2-2, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way. With just two minutes remaining, the striker reacted quickest after a long-range shot was spilled, flicking the ball into the net to hand Galatasaray the decisive lead.
The victory not only secured the league title but also guaranteed automatic qualification for the group stage of next season’s UEFA Champions League.
The 25-year-old has now scored 15 league goals in 21 appearances this season and continues to play a key role in Galatasaray’s dominance.
The title is Osimhen’s second league triumph with the Turkish side since arriving on an initial loan deal last season.
It also marks the third league title of his career, following his Serie A success with Napoli during the 2023/24 campaign.
Remarkably, the striker has now won a league championship in each of the last three seasons.
