Victor Osimhen is closing in on becoming Galatasaray’s all-time leading foreign goalscorer, DAILY POST reports.
The Nigerian striker has scored 68 goals for the Turkish Super Lig giants, placing him third on the club’s all-time foreign goalscoring list.
Former Argentina international Mauro Icardi currently tops the ranking with 77 goals, while Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi occupies second place with 72 goals for the club.
Osimhen strengthened his pursuit of the record with a brace in Galatasaray’s 2-1 derby victory over Fenerbahçe on Monday night.
The 27-year-old has also enjoyed an impressive start to the season, registering nine goals and three assists in nine appearances across all competitions for Okan Buruk’s team.
With his current scoring form, Osimhen will be looking to add to his tally and move closer to the top of Galatasaray’s all-time foreign goalscoring rankings.
