President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services and other relevant security and intelligence agencies to intensify efforts to secure the immediate rescue of victims abducted during a mosque attack in Niger State.

The directive was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to Onanuga, Tinubu expressed outrage over the abduction and killing of innocent citizens by criminal elements in the state.

The President condemned the attack, describing those responsible as enemies of peace and humanity who would be held accountable.

“Those who carried out this cowardly attack on defenceless Nigerians are enemies of peace and enemies of humanity, who will not go scot-free,” he said.

Tinubu directed the security agencies to intensify coordinated operations aimed at rescuing the abducted victims and bringing those responsible for the attack to justice.
